Despite a bad reputation, Brad Renfro has got the talent to make him a successful actor. Born in Knoxville, Tennessee on July 25, 1982, he was discovered at 12 by director Joel Schumacher and was immediately cast in his first major motion picture, The Client (1994). Although he had a lack of acting experience, his role caught the media's attention. Next, he wowed critics with his touching role in The Cure (1995) and then showed off his comedic talents in Tom and Huck (1995). Brad won "The Hollywood Reporter's Young Star Award" in 1995 and was nominated as one of People Magazine's "Top 30 Under 30." Brad was becoming one of Hollywood's most wanted young actors, starring alongside Susan Sarandon, Dustin Hoffman and Brad Pitt did not hurt his image. However, shortly before the release of Apt Pupil (1998), in which he plays the lead, an incident arose after he was arrested for driving under the influence of marijauna. Possession of cocaine was also found. Later, in 2000, he also got into trouble over an attempt to steal a yacht. 2 years of probation were finally agreed upon. He is now turning his bad habits into good. Brad is a proficient guitar player and lists 'Led Zeppelin' guitarist Jimmy Page, as his idol.
