Terence Steven McQueen was born in in Beech Grove, Indiana, USA. He attended the New York's Actors' Studio. He made his Broadway debut in A Hatful of Rain. 1956. His first film role for MGM was Somebody Up There Likes Me, with Paul Newman. His first leading role was in cult classic The Blob. In 1958 he was in the top rated TV series Wanted Dead or Alive. His breakout role in The Great Escape, with James Garner. He was nominated for an Oscar for his role in The Sand Pebbles. He was in the original production of The Thomas Crown Affair, with Faye Dunaway. Bullitt,Towering Inferno and Papillon are some of his later movies. He died on November 7, 1980 in Juarez, Mexico of lung cancer.
